Tellaro

Tellaro, ancient fishing village clinging to the cliff, is characterized by a paved square where the road ends at the sea: a picturesque place, characterized by the colors and the typical climate of the Mediterranean Sea and Liguria, and dominated by local folklore and folktales.
A world to discover where relive the legend of the Bell Ringer Octopus, became the symbol of the village of Tellaro: according to legend it was the octopus to warn people of the arrival of Saracens during a night of storm, stretching its tentacles to the top of the bell tower; a gesture that earned him the celebration of the animal as a patron of the village, where the symbols of the animal are scattered everywhere, and the affixing of a marble plaque in the church of San Giorgio which celebrates the salvation against the Pirates in 1660.
